The UFPIA Gardeners and the Traffic & Parking (T&P) Committee will be hosting an Oktoberfest at the community garden (1827 E Pratt) from 2-5pm on Oct. 23rd. There will be Oompah tunes, several types of beer, Ostrowski’s sausage, hot dogs, German pretzels, green chili from Little Donna’s, sweet treats and other items (vegetarian too!). Be sure to bring lots of cash as beverages and food are by cash donation (ranging from $1-$5). Also, there will be a raffle with gift certificates to local vendors as well as three carved jack-o'-lanterns (raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5). Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult but no pets or smoking are allowed in the garden. There is no entry fee or rain date. (Proceeds to benefit the Garden and T&P Committees.)
