UFPIA Garden Open House

Take a stroll through the garden (1827 E Pratt) at our Open House at the UFPIA Community Garden and be sure to bring some cash as we will have some items for sale too! (Sorry no pets are allowed in the garden or leashed to the gate.) Proceeds to be applied to the community garden shed replacement and garden greening efforts.

The next Open House dates are noted below:

-Oct. 22nd - 3-5 pm

The garden is open according to the following guidelines:

1.    The UFPIA garden will be open to everyone for one day of the month from April through October for two hours (closed Nov. through Mar.), normally on the fourth weekend of the month.

2.    Anyone (regardless of membership) is welcome to visit the garden during the open house and there is no fee to enter although donations are always welcome.

3.   At least one gardener will be on site at all times.

5.    No open house will be held if there is a planned UFPIA community activity taking place in the garden on the scheduled date.

6.    The days/times will alternate each month and will be posted in the newsletter and the website.

7.    Non-gardeners must stay on the main walkway or in the grass areas in the front.

8.    Children are welcome; however, they must be supervised by an adult age 18+ at all times and must stay in the grass areas in the front or on the main walkway. No children playing in the pollinator garden or around individual plots or the garden beds.

9.    No pets of any kind are allowed inside the garden or leashed outside at any time.

10. No items (including, but not limited to, flowers, produce, tools, etc.) may be removed from individual plots or the overall garden at any time.

11. No garden furniture may be moved; however, you are welcome to bring your own chair.

12. No access to water use, the shed, use of tools or the compost areas (also there is no bathroom).

13. No smoking, alcohol or loud music is allowed at any time.

14. Anyone found misusing the garden space will be asked to leave.

15. The garden committee will periodically review the above to determine its feasibility and continuation or make any changes (you will be notified).

16. Visiting the UFPIA garden is at the visitor’s own risk and the UFPIA will not be held responsible for any injury, loss, damage or costs arising out of the visitor’s or family’s presence.
