February 20th Community Meeting Agenda

The monthly community meeting is held on the third Monday of the month at 7pm in-person at the Ministry of Brewing (1900 E Lombard) as well as virtually. (Note: MOB is now open to the public on Mondays.) · Introductions and welcoming of new attendees

· Membership dues collection

· Guest Speakers: Wendy Bozel, UFPIA Vice President and George Croom, UFPIA Education Chair*

· Discussion with possible votes**

· Committee Reports

· New and unfinished business and open forum

· 50/50 Cash Raffle***

*Guest Speakers: To celebrate Black History month, Wendy Bozel and George Croom will explore Frederick Douglass who was a former slave and prominent abolitionist with many connections to Baltimore. They will present these as well as highlight the local places in Fell’s Point where he lived and frequented.

**Discussion with possible votes: 1) The proposed total UFPIA annual budget. To view it, go to http://www.upperfellspoint.org/about and scroll all the way down to Budgets: Proposed2023. 2) Nominations for Election Judge for the May Officers’ Election will be accepted with a possible vote. 3) BGE gas regulator letter.

***50/50 Cash Raffle: Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 (cash only). The money collected is split between the winner and the UFPIA. The drawing is held at the end of the meeting; you must be present to win; proceeds to the general fund.

  The Community meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm and runs from 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending on discussions. Join us! (Note: To be eligible to vote, you must have paid your 2023 membership dues, be age 18+, live in our boundaries, and have attended at least 2 of the last preceding 11 meetings and/or attended Association sponsored events/activities.
