March 2022 Community Meeting

Our monthly meeting will be held virtually via Google Meets and in-person at Ministry of Brewing (1900 E Lombard St). (Note: Ministry of Brewing is closed to the public on Mondays but will be open for attendees; the bar also will be open beginning at 6:30pm. The monthly community meetings have been changed to the third Monday of the month at 7pm for the next three months. We will have another vote in May to decide whether or not to make this a permanent change.)

· Introductions and welcoming of new attendees

· Guest Speaker: Mark Gaither, Principal of Wolfe St. Academy*

· Discussion with possible votes**

· Committee Reports

· New and unfinished business and open forum

· Beautification Planter and 50/50 cash Raffle***

 

*Mr. Gaither will give an update about the School.

 

**Discussion with possible votes:

-200 S Broadway - Vote in favor or not of the project.

-322 S Ann - Discussion with a vote to support the project or not.

-407 S Broadway - Discussion and a vote for a letter of support or disapproval of the project.

 

 ***Beautification Planter Raffle - If you returned a City blue recycling cart, live in the UFPIA boundaries and want a chance to win a blue resin planter for your stoop, send an email to beautification@upperfellspoint.org with your name, phone number and address by March 20th. The raffle will be held at the March 21st meeting (attendance is not required).

 ***50/50 cash raffles - Raffle tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5 (cash only) - the amount of money collected is split between the winner and the UFPIA. The drawing is held at the end of the meeting; you must be present to win; proceeds to the general fund.

 

  The Community meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm and runs from 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending on discussions. Join us! (Note: To be eligible to vote, you must have paid your 2022 membership dues, be age 18+, live in our boundaries, and have attended at least 2 of the last preceding 11 meetings and/or attended Association sponsored events/activities.
