*Vote/Special Election - We will hold a special election to vote for a new UFPIA President to fill the remaining term of office. A slate of candidates will be presented and nominations from the floor also will be accepted. Candidates will have 3 minutes to present themselves. If you are interested in running for the UFPIA President position, contact Mark Hoffmann, Special Election Judge, at electionjudge@upperfellspoint.org.
**Guest speaker: Ben Miller, UFPIA Vice President, will discuss Baltimore City’s 311 services.
We will be voting on camera policies and a safety camera program. Due to misinterpretation of safety grant deadlines, we need to act on a more rapid schedule -- spending and installations must be completed by February 3rd and the grant must be closed out by the beginning of March. We encourage everyone to review the linked documents, UFPIA Camera Policies and UFPIA Safety Camera Program Policies, in advance and come to the meeting on Monday with suggested revisions, with discussion points, and be prepared to vote. If you have questions or concerns, please contact president@upperfellspoint.org (Ben Miller) and/or safety@upperfellspoint.org (Dan Harrison). If you would like to vote by proxy, contact parliamentarian@upperfellspoint.org (Stephen Porter).
The Community meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm and runs from 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending on discussions. Join us!
(Notes: To be eligible to vote or to run for office, you must have paid your membership dues (based on the calendar year beginning in January 2023), be age 18+, live in our boundaries, and have attended at least 2 of the last preceding 11 meetings and/or attended Association sponsored events/activities. Members eligible to vote who are not present at a properly called Association meeting may vote if their absentee vote is received by an officer, specifies the decision or election in writing, and is signed by the absent voter (email is fine). Absentee voting shall not count towards attendance. There is more info on our website at https://www.upperfellspoint.org/about - scroll down to Rules-Meeting & Voting Regulations.)
Reminder - There is no meeting or newsletter in December.
