November 2020 Community Meeting

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our monthly meeting will be held virtually (not in-person) via Zoom.

You will need to download the Zoom client (free), so please enter the meeting a little early.

    • Kristyn Oldendorf, Waste Reduction and Operations Coordinator at the Baltimore City Department of Public Works (DPW), Bureau of Solid Waste, and Larry Nunley, Southwest Liaison for the DPW

    • Mary Urban, External Communications & Outreach Manager at Wheelabrator Technologies and Dr. McTyre, Epidemiologist

Guest speakers

Kristyn Oldendorf will discuss the DPW’s recycling program. She will provide guidance on how to identify and properly prepare recyclable materials, answer questions about curbside recycling and discuss best practices for encouraging recycling program participation. Larry Nunley will join the discussion as well.

Mary Urban and Dr. McTyre will answer general questions and speak on the emissions levels and impact on air quality from Wheelabrator.

Note: to be eligible to vote at a meeting, you must have paid your membership dues for 2020, be age 18+, live in our boundaries, and have attended at least 2 of the last preceding 11 meetings.

The community meeting starts promptly at 7:00pm and runs from 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending on discussions. Join us!
