August 2021 Community Meeting Recap
Note: Any changes to the minutes should be directed to Lynnie at secretary@upperfellspoint.org.
Hybrid Meeting
This was our first hybrid meeting.
We experienced several technical difficulties at the in-person session; thanks to everyone for their patience and understanding (approx. 25p were in-person and 20p+ virtual).
Guest Speakers
Mallory Kuehn, Beautification Chair, discussed projects that will continue and expand. New were possibility of composting and urging neighbors to cleanup in front of their houses.
The owner of 1900 E Pratt LLC was not available via the internet (only by phone) so did not discuss his plans for rehabbing the property (hope to have him back at next meeting if he can join via internet).
His proposal is now at 4 units (instead of 6) with commercial space on the first floor; no parking noted
Vote
The possibility of modifying our meeting policy to include sponsored events for voting privileges was discussed. There were several motions for modifications so a rewrite will be posted and the final vote will be held at the Sept. meeting.
Amendment Requested: Must include attendance to at least one UFPIA meeting. Amendment request passed (Y-24; N-7; A-2).
Amendment Requested: No more than one event per month can be applied to the two “events” required to vote; amendment request passed (Y-25; N-4; A-1)
Final language and discussion will continue next month with a possible vote
