Guest Speakers

  • MD Senate President Bill Ferguson gave a brief summary of this year’s legislative session.

  • Suzanne Bailey, UFPIA Member/resident, discussed the possibility of starting an UFPIA Anti-Racism group.

Vote

To change our Meeting Policy to delete specific times for our Association and Board meetings so all meetings are held at a convenient location and time; motion passed. (Note: Community meetings - 7pm; Board meetings - 8pm)

Committee Reports

Beautification

Mallory Kuehn—beautification@upperfellspoint.org

  • Sixteen trees ordered for fall delivery; stay tuned!

  • Monthly cleanups moved to Tuesday through summer to include social afterwards:

    • August 10-Happy Hour Heaven

    • Sept. 14-Spirits Tavern

Safety

Matt Barnes—safety@upperfellspoint.org

  • National Night Out - August 3; 7-9pm at the corner of 300 block of S Chapel and 1900 block of Bank; drinks and refreshments; raffles and children’s activities.

  • Block captain liaisions still needed.

Traffic & parking

Kurt Schiller—trafficparking@upperfellspoint.org

  • Information being gathered for three traffic calming targeted intersections

    • Gough & S Wolfe

    • E Pratt & S Wolfe

    • S Ann & E Pratt.

  • Information is on how all users (cars, pedestrians, cyclists, etc.) use the intersection daily.

To vote on issues at a meeting, you must have paid your current dues (based on calendar year beginning in January), attended 2 of the preceding 11 meetings, live in our boundaries and be age 18.
